Aléna Watters performing Ryan Scott Oliver’s song, "To Do" at one woman show "Sass & Fabulousness" at The Laurie Beechman Theatre

*Live, unmixed b-roll footage* Featuring... Piano/M.D. Brian Whitted Guitar Scott Wakefield Bass Louis Tucci Percussion Damien Bassman Drums John Rochette

Ryan Scott Oliver and I did Scott Alan's Monday Night New Voices together years ago, and it was the first (maybe only?) time RSO accompanied one of his songs publicly, which he doesn't like to do. SO, when putting my solo show together, I decided to face a fear of sloppiness/imperfection in performing...not being particularly skilled (much at all, y'all) at the guitar, and since Ryan played for me all those years ago, I performed, (with a peg having fallen off of my janky lil’ guitar just before the show) in all my completely non-trained imperfection (with most of the words right, hah)… "To Do"! I am grateful for this song, for Scott Wakefield on guitar & my band making me sound good, & to share my version with you all...hope you enjoy!

Christmas 2017 with the USO Show Troupe

“It was a whirlwind of a few days. After closing Fairy Tale Christmas at The Tuacahn Center For The Arts, I had a flight changed from St. George, Utah to Phoenix to Charlotte to Jacksonville, North Carolina, and kicked off Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with my colleagues James Shackelford & Karen Burthwright, of the USO Show Troupe. We were honored and excited to spend Christmas Day with the USO North Carolina, Jacksonville Center, and 1,000 Marines who also couldn't be home that holiday season. We put on a show, akin to the old Bob Hope Christmas specials, and it was truly memorable to bring some holiday spirit to so many Marines on their (first for many) holiday away from home. I'm proud to reflect upon the years of entertainment service through the USO; and it was heart expanding to know that we brought at least a little, if not a lot, of joy to the troops that Christmas day!”
